“Preparing Our Future Workforce For Success”
History
During the month of June approximately 5000 new high school graduates will enter the Bahamian workforce in search of employment. For many this transition from the classroom to the workplace will be quite a challenge; not only because of the present economic climate, but sadly many former grads have confessed that school did not prepare them for the real world of work. The end result as I’m sure you have experienced, is that many new grads lack the hard and soft skills required to satisfactorily meet the needs of employers.
Determined to close this gap, in June 2010, Total Image Management & Communications through the generous donations of corporate sponsors - Bahamas First Insurance, Ministry of Youth Sports & Culture, RBC Finco, Bank of The Bahamas, Batelco, Colina, Doctors Hospital, Zonta Club of Nassau, Campbell Shipping, SKY Bahamas, Lighting Audio Visual & Rentals, The Counsellors, Danbrad/McDonalds, Greenway Landscape, Bahamas Welding & Fire, Felix Stubbs, Bright Light Ministries, The Movi Group, Jeffrey Lloyd, Gems Radio 105.9 FM, Andeaus Insurance and The Bahamas Humans Resources Development Association, launched the first annual Professional Edge For New Grads Career Readiness Program.
What Is The Purpose Of This Career Readiness Program?
Through strategic partnership with businesses, schools and the community our mission is: “To equip new grads with the skills, competencies, and behaviors required to bring immediate value to their employers and succeed in the workplace.”
Our Vision
Partnering with businesses, schools, and the community to prepare Bahamian students to enter and succeed in the real world of work.
